12 2.11 to 2.16.2019 Automaker S ao Paulo - The crisis in the Argentine automotive market has already made at least one evident victim in Brazil: Nissan has given up its third production shift at the plant in Resende, Rio de Janeiro state, in 2019. The plan now points, at best hypothesis, to 2020. According to the president Marco Silva, no vehicles were sent to the Brazil’s neighbor in January, a necessary action to regulate the stocks there: “But we will resume shipping in February”.  The downturn in Argentina, where Nissan sends, from Brazil, Kicks, March and Versa, will make the current pace, in two full shifts, enough to meet all the expected demand, in Brazil and abroad, aborting this way, at least temporarily, the need for the third shift.
