Automaker S ao Paulo - Volvo hired three hundred employees and extended to R$ 250 million the investment in the plant in Curitiba, PR, expecting a significant new growth in sales of light and heavy trucks. The amount adds up to the R$ 1 billion cycle for the period 2017-2019, now extended to the end of 2020. New employee hirings began earlier last month, according to Wilson Lirmann, president of Volvo Group for Latin America. With them, the second shift of trucks will be expanded and the unit will go back to the pre-crisis employment level, with 3,7 thousand employees.
